There is lots to talk about this month, so let's get to it!

You have heard me say in the last few columns that Saturn has moved into Libra, and will stay there now until October 2012. However, this month Venus and Mars will also be transiting the sign of Libra, and they all will be squaring (challenging) Uranus and Jupiter who are currently posited in Aries. If you recall, the stern taskmaster Saturn in easy going Libra is not always a comfortable ride. However Libra can tend to be a bit indecisive, and Saturn makes sure that there will be no waffling! Venus (female) and
Mars (male) energy both located currently in kind sensitive Libra tends to lead one to feel they need to work harder on their love relationships right now. All male/female relationships will be tested in some form. This Cardinal T Square will be the trip wire for many.


Uranus in Aries promises us fast, unexpected turn of events in a crazy topsy turvey kind of way. Jupiter promises us that no matter how hairy this ride might feel like it is becoming, there is a reason for everything that happens and keep a positive outlook.

All that above activity is squaring (challenging) Pluto in Capricorn, which forms an astrological T Square. T squares challenge and energize us to stop running in place and get going. The key actor in this little play is Pluto - the planet of intensity. Pluto in Capricorn emphasizes that down to earth, no nonsense type of energy that pretty much demands you make a plan, then you stick to the plan. I believe this planet will actually be the one that holds the focus for us to proceed with this month.


On top of all that, Mercury goes retrograde in Virgo on August 20 until Sept 12. It's enough to say give us a break!! Do not we have enough on our plates with this Cardinal T Square, without Mercury coming along mucking things up? The sign of Virgo is so very precise about everything they do, that this Mercury Retrograde plowing through their sign all willy nilly is enough to make a Virgo just want to stay in bed.

I've preached so many times about Mercury retrogrades: to make sure your keys are in sight, your appointment time and dates are double checked, confirm travel reservations, and above all make sure that what you say is being understood by whomever you are talking to. Chances are pretty good they or you will be distracted and will not get the whole picture, or the entire information. This month will be even more important to pay attention to details, no matter how small. The aggravation you save will probably be your own.

It will be very important for everyone this month to not allow themselves to get too emotional on the crazy ride of the next 31 days. My prescription is to attempt to stay cool in every way possible during these dog days of summer and try to remember to count to ten.
