What's in the Stars?

July boasts a solar eclipse on the 11th, at 2:41 PM PM EST at 19' Cancer.

This eclipse falls into the 7th house of partnerships for the USA chart,
within a 6' conjunct with the USA Sun at 13' Cancer. This eclipse will
bring some enemies or competitors of the USA out into the open. Remember that
eclipses uncover what has been hidden. Due to the nature of eclipses, the
changes may well affect the other country more than the USA. However, an
eclipse on the Sun affects the basic ego or Self ( in this case the Self
of the country.)

We need to look at 19 years ago to get a clue what is about to transpire
this time.

We look at June 1991 and see two volcanic eruptions...the one in the
Philippines killing over 800 people. We see a mine cave in, and the Iraq
disarmament crisis as U.N. inspection teams attempt to intercept Iraqi vehicles
carrying nuclear related equipment. We also see the introduction of Sonic
Hedgehog into the American family. (I remember this one well!)

Whatever it brings..you can rest assured it will be important, the
eclipse is conjunct the USA Sun, as it does fall within 6' of the natal Sun of
the USA. Conjuncts are always very intense.

Some of Cancer's traits are protection, domestic issues, and security.

To round this picture out, we will look at the Mandala for 19' Cancer: the
profound need for referring the interplay and relatively permanent and
production union of all polarities to some third factor which either includes
or transcends and gives spiritual meaning to the relationship.

Once again we are talking about a partnership issue! This potent eclipse
falls within a few days of our nations birthday celebrations and our long
standing partnership with Great Britain comes to mind. As of this writing
there is a growing unease with British Petroleum's poor handling of the
Gulf oil spill crisis, and this could well spill over to include more than
just the oil company.

It is always important to have your own natal chart printed out to see
where these events I talk about fall into your own life. One great place that

Should you happen to have any planet at 19' Cancer or near that degree in
Cancer this eclipse will be very important for you. Likewise if you have
19' Cancer on the cusp of one of your houses in your natal chart, the
affairs of that house will be prominent for several months to come.
Be wary of thinking the timing of the effects only pertains to the
length of minutes or hours it takes for the eclipse to occur. This powerful
eclipse will be felt leading up to the event, and for months afterwards.

Saturn enters Libra on July 21st. Once again, I ask you to look at your
natal chart to see where Saturn was at the time of your birth, since this
movement into Libra will make a long and lasting aspect in your life.
Saturn also opposes Uranus in Aries for the last time for awhile on July 26th.
This aspect once again is difficult. Saturn is the hard taskmaster, so
the opposing force of Uranus (sudden unexpected changes) is usually not one
of comfort. The changes that arise are most likely those of feeling forced,
rather than chosen.
